(Full Financial Cycle | Contracting & Costing Experience Preferred)


PANATIX Analytical Systems is seeking a dedicated General Accountant to manage the complete financial cycle and support operations within a fast-growing engineering and technical services company.

Experience in contracting, projects, or service-based companies is highly preferred due to the nature of our costing and project workflows.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Full Accounting Cycle
  2. Record daily financial transactions (AP, AR, GL).
  3. Prepare monthly closing entries and maintain ledgers.
  4. Conduct bank reconciliations and review transfers, charges, and import-related costs.
  5. Prepare trial balance and support financial statement preparation.
  6. Procurement, Vendor & Import Accounting
  7. Record supplier invoices, GRNs, shipping costs, customs duties, and other landed costs.
  8. Reconcile vendor accounts and maintain aging reports.
  9. Follow up on open POs, partial deliveries, and import documentation.
  10. Project, Job-Order & Costing Accounting (Preferred Experience)
  11. Allocate costs to specific projects/jobs (materials, services, labor, logistics).
  12. Track project profitability and cost variance.
  13. Coordinate with engineering & operations to capture actual project costs.
  14. Maintain proper project-wise documentation and costing sheets.
  15. Trade Finance: Letters of Guarantee & Letters of Credit
  16. Prepare documentation and requests for Letters of Guarantee (bid bond, performance, advance payment, etc.).
  17. Coordinate with banks on Letters of Credit, amendments, payments, and required shipping/financial documents.
  18. Track facility limits, renewals, commissions, and bank exposures.
  19. Ensure alignment between procurement, logistics, and bank compliance.
  20. Customer Billing & Receivables
  21. Issue sales invoices, milestone billing, and credit notes.
  22. Monitor collections and customer balances.
  23. Reconcile customer accounts and follow up with operations on billing status.
  24. Taxes & Compliance
  25. Prepare VAT returns and tax reconciliations.
  26. Apply Egyptian WHT rules accurately.
  27. Maintain full compliance with Egyptian tax law and audit requirements.
  28. Payroll (Review & Booking Only)
  29. Receive payroll from HR (attendance, OT, deductions).
  30. Review, post payroll entries, and prepare salary transfers.
  31. Record payroll tax & social insurance liabilities.
  32. ERP & Internal Controls
  33. Postings, reconciliations, and account mapping in ERPNext (training provided).
  34. Maintain organized financial documentation.
  35. Support external audits and enhance internal controls.


Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance.
  2. 2–4 years of experience in general and cost accounting.
  3. Preferred: Experience in contracting, project-based companies, EPC, maintenance, or service providers.
  4. Mandatory: Familiarity with electronic invoicing, ETA portal, e-invoice submission, and tax compliance workflow.
  5. Strong knowledge of Egyptian VAT, Withholding Tax, and cost allocation principles.
  6. Solid MS Excel skills; ERP experience is a plus (ERPNext preferred).
  7. High integrity, responsibility, and accuracy.
  8. Ability to manage multiple accounting functions independently.
